ATTENTION:
We have a HUGE selection of computers that we are busy recycling. Many more than what we anticipated originally. We are working on a better system for cataloging our systems. In the mean time, we will be using our mailing list to announce systems for sale and those sold rather than posting the information here on the site. We feel this will be more equitable rather than requiring people to have to check the site. Please subscribe to our list. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to email us anytime. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
What We Do
- We recycle old but still serviceable computers.
- We pick up from your home or business. (Anchorage)
- We ensure that the system is sanitized to remove all programs and data.
- We add or upgrade components if necessary.
- We install new operating system and software.
- We sell complete systems, including monitor, keyboard and mouse at a minimum, for $250 or less.
- We deliver and help set up if needed. (Anchorage)
- We provide a thirty day money back or exchange guarantee.
- We provide email and on line support.
How We Do It
- We rely on donated equipment from agencies, businesses and
individuals who prefer to have their excess equipment recycled rather
than thrown away or going through the hassle of selling themselves.
- We use specially designed software to wipe all information
from the hard drives including the operating system, all programs and
data.
- We add or upgrade components as needed with parts salvaged from other units that could not be recycled whole.
- We install a new operating system and software available for download free from the Internet.
Why We Do It
- Our primary mission is to provide computers to those that
may not otherwise be able to afford them. This includes low income
families, non-profit agencies, schools and some small businesses.
- While this may not provide a huge impact, each system we recycle is one less system in the landfill.
- We believe in the "Open Source" software movement. This is
a good way to introduce people to viable, affordable, alternatives to
Microsoft, Apple and other closed source proprietary products.
- We won't get rich doing this, but it does provide a little
supplement to my meager disability income and some discretionary money
for my teenage sons.
Who We Are
- Tech head Dad and his two tech head sons. Mostly self
taught, learning by doing. This is something we enjoy doing together.
We feel like we are doing something worthwhile and helping others.
How To Donate
- You can reach us by
or by submitting this form
How to Sponsor
- From time to time we will give systems away to the most
needy and deserving. However we can't afford to always do that since we
do have some expenses that have to be covered. You can help by
sponsoring a system and choose the recipient from a list that we can
provide. These are people or organizations that could use a computer
and could use your help.
for a list of those requesting sponsors.
How to Purchase
- Photos and descriptions will be posted here when they become available. You can subscribe to the email announcement list to be notified when new systems are posted.
- We use PayPal and Google Checkout for processing all major credit cards, debit cards, and e-checks. We also accept cash on delivery. Please no checks.
Requesting Sponsorship
- Non-profit organizations and individuals/families experiencing extreme hardship are invited to make an application with this form for a System Sponsorship.
- If you have a child in the home under 18 you may qualify for a free computer from Computers For All, Inc.
